Light on the Sugar, Heavy on the Spice

What are little girls made of,
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice and all things nice,
That's what little girls are made of.

With 4 girls, you might be under the false impression that we overflow with sweetness around here. This is not the case. I know they look all cuteness and innocence, but there's a lot more spice that the average outsider doesn't see.

I actually think I've created an environment that breeds arguments - and subsequently, talented arguers. It's normal, I know. Kids will disagree. But I'd really like them to learn how to disagree respectfully. Well, we haven't quite reached respectability, but there is an art form at work here that's admirable in its sophistication.

I don't know how many people will WANT an extra dose of the sound of children fighting, but just in case there is such a niche in the population, I've got it covered.

Arguing 101:

Oh, that just sounds like music to me. Perhaps because I hear it so often. Good thing you have this, so you can play it to your children when they have kids of their own and call up asking "Why do they always..." Then you can play that and they won't be able to argue they never did that.

I remember one Sunday after noon calling my mom and apologizing. I remember my mom talking about how she couldn't ever take a nap, or get through a Sunday with out all the fighting... So I appologized when I was going through all the stuff she suffered through at my hands! Someday maybe they will call and appologize with they hear their daughter say "YES you did!" for the millionth time! There is always hope. Till then invest in some good ear plugs, Or better yet duct tape then all you can hear is hmmm mhhh hmm hhhhmmmmmm... :) Or when need be send one of them to my house and then at least they will be seperated out for a short time! I bet you can't wait till summer when they are home ALL DAY LONG!!!!!

You are a sneaky videographer, too! Much respect! That totally reminded me of some of my battles back in the day....(and a few current ones, too...Chris loves it when I repeat myself incessantly.)

This was great. Nothing makes me smile inside more than to know others go through what I go through daily.

I am liking the picture that you posted with this post. You got a nice blur in the background!

The video is funny...have they been reading Todd's law books...you know asking questions that ae leading and only require yes or no responses.

I'm glad you like the photo that she posted with the post...it was taken by a professional!!!---me...

I love the video too. Amazing that they didn't seem to fight like that when I was visiting...of course, 2 hours out of 24 is not a large sample size. is it?

Oooohhhh, my goodness....sounds like my house that is full of boys! So Funny! I didn't think little girls had it in them, so thank you for sharing :) Of course, I didn't think little boys could be as sweet as they are either, but they've proved me wrong there too :)
