Halloweens Past

I know it's not exactly the season for it, but since I've just recently been compiling the pictures, and since I love Halloween more than any real adult has a right to, I thought I'd post a look back at our Halloweens past. I've been unable to locate actual pictures from 1996 and 1997, so my artwork will have to suffice.

1996- Laverne and Shirley with Robyn

Sonny and Cher fits in here somewhere too, but I can't remember when exactly

at least there survived a picture of me and my sis from whatever year it was

1997- Fred and Wilma

1998 - Homer and Marge

1999 - Black Cat (Only Sophie this year)

2000 - Repeat of the Flintstones, with Pebbles

2001 - 2 baby caterpillars and a butterfly

2002 - Daddy Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, Annie, Sandy (the dog), and a little orphan girl

2003 - Poor Cinderella with her Prince

and the mice, Gus and Jaq (I was the wicked stepmother, no pictures)

2004 - Sunflower fairy and bumblebees

2005 - Queen Amidala, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker (I was Darth Vader, but had to double as the photographer, so again, was not pictured)

2006 - Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, the Gingerbread Man, and the Fairy Godmother

2007 - Hermione, Arwen, Galadriel and Frodo, and Nacho and Encarnacion

Alli, these are hilarious. How much money, on average, would you say you spend at Halloween? Just curious. I definitely want to do themes with my family, but I'll be hard-pressed not to copy from you!

Star Wars or Shrek were probably my most expensive years, because I had to make the costumes since we didn't have anything around the house that would work. I think both years cost around $35, but I was able to use a lot of supplies I already had on hand, and I also re-use costumes (like the Leia dress for Galadriel)

I think you should tell everyone how you made the hairy feet for Clair! But I loved the walk through memory lane! I have loved all the themes you have done! And way cheep too!

My favorite is Todd as Nacho. That makes me roll on the floor!

Judging from the baby paraphernalia in the picture, I think that the "Sonny and Cher" year was 1999.

I was thinking that too, but we went to the U-ward Halloween party as Sonny and Cher, and I can't think of why we would've done that unless we were too stubborn to grow up (not inconceivable)...

I'm in love with these costumes Allison! Listen, you and I have a really big thing in common; a love for Halloween and themed birthday parties. *sigh* Stephen and I dress up in group costumes every year too! Maybe I'll do a little post too! haha! You're killin' me with the nacho libre one! hahaha!! Love it! I'm telling you that I loved that movie, people did not laugh here though, I was the lone laugher in the theater that night.

Alli, only YOU could get my brother to dress up year after year. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it! :) My husband will be glad he is not alone.
