The Hiding Place

If you've ever read, "The Hiding Place", this will mean something to you. And if you haven't read the book, you REALLY should, but this paper contains spoilers, so beware. I found this self-assigned essay in a drawer the other day, and was pretty impressed by it. Judging by the spelling tendencies, we think it was Janelle, but she did not wish to receive credit. Anyway, here it is: I read "The Hiding Place" to my kids a few months ago, and because it was a true story, I hunted down as many pictures as I could of the real people and places involved. It's a pretty heartrending story at times, so I softened it where neccessary, but the overall story of love and forgiveness is absolutely amazing. Here are some pictures from the story:

Love the essay! I loved that book also! I haven't thought of reading that to my kids. I think Ethan is the only one who would get it though and it would probably scare him... you know my kids!

I loved that book! I think I read it when I was about that age... I have the movie and just made Chris watch it a month ago. Corrie Ten Boom came to my mom's college a million moons ago, and she always talked about her life. Got me hooked.
