Gloriously Weird Kids
Instead of washing a spoon, Janelle decided to eat her cereal with a strainer. Wouldn't have worked so well if she'd had milk in her bowl.

Janelle's teacher gave me a sample of her schoolwork on fractions. Clockwise from top left they read: "I have three sets of dreadlocks and 2/3 of them have streaks" "I have 1 bag and 2/3 of it is filled with rotting teeth" "One fourth 1/4 of my head is wrinkley" and "1/2 of my chocolate is moldy"

When we walked out the door yesterday to head to the beach (kids had day off school and they all cleaned the house while I was at their parent/teacher conferences), I noticed Janelle had a curious combination of footwear.

I woke up this morning to the sound of two of my girls arguing - about who got to clean the living room.

Last night for dinner I made a delicious potato soup, and they all wanted ice water soup instead.
Claire put on her new tutu swimsuit and had to tuck the whole ruffle part into her pants. Love that figure girl!

Eden Newborn Pictures
My friend Rory was gracious enough to do weekly photo sessions for us in exchange for some legal work (gotta love trades!) so we could capture the precious newborn moments with Eden. She got some amazing shots and posted some of her favorites on her website
I should post some here as well - maybe later :)

In Need of a Haircut
I know there are far more important things in this world to currently worry about, so while we do our part to help people in Haiti and Chile and other disasters in this world, let us relax and think about some less stressful things like hairstyles, lest we look dowdy in the process of saving the world. (Don't you love it when you see documentaries of celebrities helping poor people and they're wearing their grubbies as if they don't want to remind the suffering poor that one of their pairs of jeans could feed their family for 3 months) Anyway, I'm in desperate need of a haircut and have been putting it off because I can't decide what to do. So try your best to ignore the bad photo editing, try to get an idea of what the following haircuts would look like (color is negotiable) and vote for your favorite. Yay - fun! I don't know how boys go for decades with the same hairstyle - how boring.
#1 shoulder-length, soft waves
#3 shoulder-length, smooth with bangs (would take some serious styling to get it to look like that, but I'm willing to try. Maybe)
