My Day

1. Got lost going to the airport, even though I've driven there successfully a number of times before . My best guess is that I was distracted by a Team Edward vs. Team Jacob discussion.
2. When asked what time it was by Claire, I answered, "2:00", then attempted (unsuccessfully) to answer her question of "Why?"
3. When kids were fighting in the car, I had to pull over and make one get out of the car until she apologized to her sister. She is 38 minutes stubborn.
4. Picked up Todd from a pizza place where he was stuffing flyers for advertising. When Janelle asked where he was, I told her, "At a pizza place stuffing things." "Yeah, REALLY. 'Things'? More like stuffing himself."
5. Saw where Napoleon Dynamite learned his tetherball skills (for real! had to check out his parents' property as a possible camp site for our YW to use, and they do indeed have a tetherball in the back yard)
6. Tried to understand why my nearly nine-year-old wants fake blood for her birthday
7. Refereed an argument concerning whether or not fruit flies poop (and if you would even be able to see the evidence)
8. Attempted to analyze my "true nature" only to find I have none (or too much, I'm still not clear)
9. Hugged all my kids in honor of national Hug Your Kids Day
10. Managed to avoid the number one thing on my to-do list -laundry- all day long!

Wow- Why am I having more children again? It sounds like the odd and trying things in life only get more intense! Very amusing from an outsiders perspective though :) What a day!

Sounds like an average summer day. Just remember they say we are going to miss all this when peace and quiet finally comes 20ish years from now.

Great job for hugging your kid's on national hug day.
