Special Day

Brooke and Janelle were baptized today. It was sweet to see how excited they were - I was fighting tears off and on through the day amazed that my little girls were reaching one of these meaningful milestones. I was up early and had a moment to reflect on my own baptism in the Red Sea (since we lived in Yemen at the time). I still remember the warm water, the excitement and anxiety (anxiety about sharks mostly, which my dad assured me was not a concern - only to see a fisherman walking down the beach afterward with all the little sharks he'd caught). My mom made Janelle's dress and Todd's mom made Brooke's (each of their namesakes). Thanks grandma's!!

I almost went to the baptisms today! John's best friend's older brother got baptized today (Brenden Morriss) and I really wanted to take John, but Mike was working and I thought it would be crazy to take the little kids with me when so many baptisms were going to happen. The girls looks so beautiful in their dresses. What a special day!

So exciting, they looked so beautiful. I can't believe that next year Madie will get baptized. What a special day, I hope it is one they will remember for a long time.

I made the craziest connection with someone this week. Julie Clarke! They got our phone # for us from our Bishopric and I've been talking with them about housing, dr's, etc.. for a month or so. They moved from AK last week and came over from dinner. What are the chances they would've lived in Monmouth of all places.

Julie raves about you guys! We're so excited to get to know the Clarke's better- they seem awesome.

I am only a little sorry I missed it. Only because it ment I had a brand new baby of my own. But I love your girls and am so proud of them! I will be sure to get them something special soon. I did for Sophie and plan to do the same for all of them! They are beautiful girls!!!
