Our little local airport here gives free plane rides to kids annually, so we decided to take advantage of the experience. Sophie was the only one old enough, so the twins missed out. She got to take a half hour ride in the sky over the town, ask the pilot all sorts of questions, and even try out some of the controls! I hope my mother-in-law has not suffered a heart attack yet :)
In her own words: "I liked going through a cloud, and looking at everything from way up in the air, and I liked getting to control the plane, going up and down and tipping left and right. I loved being 1500 feet above the ground. It was exciting!"

Does this scare your mother in law? I wished Ethan could have gone! Maybe next year!
That is so cool!
That sounds like a lot of fun. Cute picture! I doubt Mom would freak out over that. I remember in elementary school that we rode our bikes out to the airport and got rides in a helicoptor and a plane. She had to sign a permission slip for that!
I had no idea they did that. She must have had soooo much fun. She will remember that adventure forever!
WOW, how fun! I wish they'd have programs like that for adults too!:)
WOW-what a fun adventure. I would of died and gone to heaven for a chance like that as a kid. What a cool guy that will do that.
